In order to run an online store via Facebook is a small-scale entrepreneurship idea which is widespread nowadays. Every other individual is doing it with extremely limited resources – just a few bucks in hand and some stock under trial and testing.
To start running your online store with the latter is okay, but to have a knowledge of Facebook advertisement is important. Posted below are a few factors that everyone who is planning to run an online store via Facebook should keep in mind.
Marketing through Facebook requires you to SPEND money. The more money you spend with the RIGHT criteria, the more products you sell, and that too WITHIN a few hours.
If you are a beginner and you are fine with a go-slow strategy, then spend around $1-$2 dollars every day. Set an ad campaign for about a week four times a month with a total budget of $7-$14 per campaign.
Boosting a Post rather than promoting a page
This is a conclusion drawn from experience of some successful entrepreneurs who run an online store via Facebook. Promoting a page gets you page likes. So, people only get to see a screenshot of your page on their newsfeed along with the option to LIKE it. This does increase number of likes on your page but what you are not sure about is whether the likes are from the active users or fake profiles. While you are boosting a post, you are still not sure about active or inactive post likes but you are either sharing your album with the Facebook market or advertising a post which has a description of some offer which you are running.
The gist of the whole thing is that boosting is more useful and has better returns.
Setting up target audience to run an online store via Facebook
Every store has a different target audience. Your products may vary to entertain different genders, age groups and people from different backgrounds. It is important that you set the right audience for your ad campaign so that your post gets the maximum reach.
Note that the ‘interest’ field is an important section to fill. If your age group is between 18 and 35, you can even add universities, colleges to your list of interest. That way, all the people who have their institution names enlisted in their about descriptions get to see the advertisement.
