“How can I Earn Money Online?”

Are you one of those who keep googling about this question again and again? That’s it, after reading this article, you won’t have to ask yourself this question again; because from now on, you’ll be on your way to achieve this goal of earning money online, instead of just dreaming about it.

“How to earn money online?” – this question pops up in almost every person’s mind who uses internet. Unfortunately there are some people who would tell you that this is a hypothetical scenario only, there’s no possibility that you can earn online. I would humbly disagree with those fellows. No man! it’s not the way you’re talking about. Online earning is real and people are making lot of money while working from their homes all across the world. But yes, if you’re thinking that this is a piece of cake and you can eat while sitting on sofa, watching TV along with having a cup of tea, then you’re totally mistaken dear. Anyway, I’ll try to make things easy-to-understand for you. Let me walk you through all the ins and outs of this “online earning” mystery.

First, get the Facts Right

Look fellows, I’m not going to lead you down the garden path while keeping you in dark. I’ll try to explain everything which is necessary for you as a beginner freelancer. What I’m about to tell you is going to be very useful for you in future. You MUST be aware of these FACTS before jumping into this ‘online earning’ venture:

Mostly, what we do is that we start looking for shortcuts and sideways as if there’s someone standing with a bag full of money, waiting for us, and he’ll give it to us once we’ve reached there through that shortcut. NO, it won’t work that way. You have to convince yourself for hard work and dedication. According to my experience (although it’s not much), Consistency and Hard Work are two key factors for becoming successful in these fields. I’m saying it again, DON’T ever look for shortcuts. Stay honest, put your best, Insha’Allah you’ll reach your destination. I hope you’ll commit yourself to what you’re about to get started with.

So, what options do you have?

When it comes to online earning, there are mostly these two recommended options which pretty much every one can opt for:

  • Freelancing
  • Blogging

Let me talk about each one of these, one by one.

What is Freelancing?

So before you start wondering what exactly Freelancing and Blogging is; hang on, let me make it easy for you. The term freelancing refers to the mechanism of working remotely from home or any other place of your choice, instead of staying at office from 9 to 5. Freelancing is all about being your own boss. YOU are the only person who does all the work… on your own terms. Work wherever you want, and party whenever you want.  Pretty cool, huh?

Still not sure what the heck this freelancing mean? Not a problem buddy, watch this video to get it straight into your head, crystal clear

Now after understanding what exactly freelancing is, you might be wondering about the procedure to actually start earning with this. Well that’s fairly easy. I wrote a post earlier, How I started my freelance career and became a Top Rated freelancer at upwork, you must read this.

A good reputation is more valuable than money.

~ Pubilius Syrus

The very first thing I would like to advise you is that you should never panic during early stages of your freelancing career because it takes some time to get a strong grip on this. Some people quit this very early just because they are not being able to secure projects on freelancing websites. Listen, there would be some people telling you that they have some “tips & tricks” which you can follow to earn lot of money, eventually asking you to pay them their “fee”. DON’T ever listen to them! Freelancing is more like a fully existing reality, not a hypothetical market. In the world of freelancing, your reliability is more valuable than the rate you charge per hour. Keep this in mind!

FREELANCING – few Tips for Beginners

As you’re a beginner and just starting up; yes you have the right to stay excited and motivated, but don’t start dreaming that you would become “rich” overnight through freelancing. Nah, it doesn’t work that way. It takes time. Especially during early period of your freelancing career, try to build strong and long-term relations with your clients. Some clients would have one-time projects for you but there are some clients who are running their own companies. If you manage to impress them with your dedication towards the work you’re doing for them, chances are that they’ll hire you on regular/permanent basis. This happened to me once and I’m working for that client till today. WATCH THIS VIDEO. Don’t ever let your client lose trust in you. Finally, I would like to say that you should keep all the options open. Don’t do it ONLY for money. Respect your clients, provide them quality work and you’ll notice how your progress graph goes up. You must have appetite for knowledge, learning new stuff and I would encourage you for always staying eager to meet and interact with different people from all over the world. It’s a real fun, I love this feeling!

What is Blogging?

B for ball, B for butterfly, B for beautiful and… B for blogging  Blogging is actually a systematic “writing approach” – write whatever you want! As a blogger, you write articles on certain topics of your interest/passion and post them online, in order to enlighten rest of world with your point of view. Blogging is a really powerful tool for expressing your views and sharing experience with rest of the world. Oops, too much explanation. I think I’m talking too much… Ok I’m going to cut this chatter. Don’t listen to me, watch this video:

BLOGGING – few Tips for Beginners

As compared to freelancing, blogging (talking about personal blog) is slightly different. Mostly you work for your clients while working as a freelancer, but here you work for yourself as a blogger. So the story starts here: You’re an intelligent person (yeah, everyone is)… you know how to express your thoughts and put forward your opinion in words, so you decide to start a blog.

As I told you, consistency is key. Don’t forget this while you’re getting started with blogging. Keep updating your blog with new content so that most search engines could know about your blog’s presence. And you have to make sure that your content is not plagiarized, it must be unique. Search engines like Google would NEVER tolerate this blunder, they’ll surely hurt you. If you keep a consistent flow in posting new content on your blog, you’ll see your ranking going up, because that’s somehow search engines’ operate. So, keep this in mind that you need to be consistent as well as pro-active in order to start earning revenue from blogging.

Now that you’ve already started blogging, a questions pops up: “How can I earn money from my blog?” Well, that requires a new blog post and I’ll be explaining about ALL the details in my next post, coming live during coming week.
